John's Story
18 days after graduation in 1966, I found myself marching at Lackland AFB, San Antonio, Texas. I was stationed in Great Falls, Montana, then sent to Korea for 6 mos, after the Pueblo incident with North Korea. After that I returned to Montana, having served my required time, I then returned to civilian life.
I returned to where my parents were currently living in Baltimore, Maryland. That was 1970 & I actually thought, at the time, that I was living in one of our Nation'so nicest larger cities. If U have ever watched any of the HBO series, "The Wire", downtown is pretty much like th...Expand for more
at show depicts it, now. 354 homicides last year. CITY OF BLACK LIVES MATTER BUT STILL ALL THOSE PEOPLE DIED.
I now live in a northeast suburb of Baltimore, very rarely venturing downtown, except for an Orioles game.
In between 1966 & 2016, I worked as a construction inspector & will most probably retire at the end of this year. I also tried marriage twice but failed at that, although I do have some very good children.
I am happy because I don't live with a jealous or nagging woman. LIFE IS GOOD.
